This week features a small selection of the many releases on the Rough Trade label.
Possibly the most important independent U.K record label of them all?
The Rough Trade shop opened off Portobello, Notting Hill in 1976,
a distribution network quickly fell into place, though it wasn’t until a couple of years
later, in 1978 that the record label was born. Featuring a wide & eclectic range of artists
from punk/post punk to electronic, avant-garde , poetry and reggae.
Our choice of tracks this week don’t necessarily follow the obvious, the chart crossovers or household names, but rather as is often the case, our favourites, tunes from our collections
or just interesting bits n bobs we picked up along the way.
